Antiskyrmion nanodomain in BaTiO3 [PRL 133, 066802 (2024)].

Our group focuses on topological structures in ferroic materials, which is a highly interesting emerging research field in solid state physics. Topological structures include domain walls, vortices, skyrmions, and other solitons formed spontaneously in ferroelectric, magnetic, ferroelastic or multiferroic materials.

The aim of the group is to investigate fundamental properties of solitons, their impact on physical properties of hosted materials, and to control their creation, annihilation and transport with external fields, thereby realizing their potential for novel nanomaterial applications.
