Welcome to the XXVI Czech–Polish seminar!
The idea of regular scientific meetings of physicists involved in studies of ferroelectrics and phase transitions in Poland and Czechoslovakia inevitably followed the success of the first event in Błażejewko in 1979.
The conference series is organized in collaboration of the Department of Dielectrics of the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Department of Low Temperature Physics, Quantum Materials and Technologies of the Institute of Molecular Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The biennial event is an international forum for presenting recent results, unconstrained discussions, and initiating joint studies. It results not only in scientific integration but also in close cooperation and friendship. It usually brings together about 100–120 participants in a proportion: approximately one third from the Czech Republic, one third from Poland, and one third from other countries.
