Bohemian-Moravian Highlands (in Czech: Českomoravská vrchovina or Vysočina; in German: Böhmisch-Mährische Höhe) is an extensive hilly region over 150 km long, running in a northeasterly direction to form a border between Bohemia and Moravia. Most of its rolling hills exhibit heights between 500 and 800 m; Javořice (837 m) and Žákova Hora (836 m) are the highest peaks. The lowlands are relatively densely settled. The countryside offers stunning panoramic views of hills, valleys and castles.
